Biography

Erik Sopracasa is a Belgian-Italian award winning actor, director, producer and member of the Television Academy (Emmys). Erik was born in Pordenone, Italy, and moved with his parents to Belgium at the age of 10. After graduating from the Karel de Grote University of Antwerp where he studied marketing he worked for different international companies including Samsung Electronics and BNP Paribas.

Driven by a lifelong interest in the arts, Erik moved to the United States in 2016 to pursue acting. He trained at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Los Angeles before graduating from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York in 2019, becoming the first Belgian actor to graduate from the conservatory.

He subsequently worked with NYC's renowned theater company, The Acting Company, founded by John Houseman, where he had the opportunity to work with director Walter Bobbie and actor Morgan Freeman, Dana Ivey and many more.

Erik Sopracasa started his own production company Movart for the production of film, television and commercial work, he received 2 Best Director awards with his first short film and scaled the company to Netflix as the creator of the documentary A Queen's Runway, in only 1 year.
