VAYYU
Sustainable fashion, told through movement.
Brand Strategy · Production · Direction · Creative Direction · Storytelling
VAYYU is a UK-based sustainable fashion brand with a mission that extends beyond clothing. Through the VAYYU Foundation, the company works to clean oceans and beaches from plastic while connecting sustainability with spirituality and personal expression.
THE CHALLENGE
VAYYU had a powerful mission, but needed a stronger way to communicate that vision to a wider audience and build recognition around the brand.
The challenge was to create something that could connect emotionally with audiences while remaining authentic to VAYYU's roots in sustainability, spirituality and the founder's connection to his Indian heritage.
MY ROLE
I led the project from brand strategy through creative development and production, working through MOVART and assembling the creative team around the project.
I led the Brand Strength Workshop with the VAYYU team, helping uncover the core values and ideas that would ultimately shape the creative direction.
From there, I led the development of the creative concept and worked with the team to translate VAYYU's mission into a visual story built around fashion, movement, spirituality and transformation.
My role included:
Brand strategy
Brand workshop facilitation
Creative direction
Film Direction
Concept development
Storytelling strategy
Team leadership
Production
THE IDEA
We wanted to show sustainability as something felt, rather than simply explained.
The creative concept followed three individuals from different walks of life as they moved through environments where they initially felt overwhelmed and uncertain. Through their connection with VAYYU, they gradually found confidence, strength and a sense of belonging.
Dance became the language of that transformation.
Rather than creating a traditional fashion film, we developed a visual journey that connected fashion, spirituality and sustainability through movement.
BRINGING THE STORY TO LIFE
I worked with Belgian dancer and choreographer Kayla Jansen, whose ability to combine movement and emotion became an important part of translating the brand's message into the film.
The choreography helped express the emotional arc at the center of VAYYU's identity: connection, healing and growth.
